I use this all the time. Although it says it can take cones, I use a half stick of the stick incense and it works wonderfully. It is so unique and beautiful to look at and comes in beautiful colors, although I wish more were available on this site. I wash it periodically and all of the residue comes right off with some Dawn and water. I cannot recommend this enough. I just got one for my mother and will probably buy some more as gifts because it is so special and useful too!

This is an odd incense burner. It is much stranger looking in person. The lid is huge and the base is deeply angled such that the whole thing can tip over quite easily. Much to my fear, the cone I tried to burn in it went out quickly. There isn’t enough air circulation to keep it lit. I haven’t tried to burn a stick yet. But, regardless, an incense burner should do what it says it can do. Nippon Kodo does accept returns, but they don’t pay for postage. I will have to pay to return this l, which is silly. Thankfully, I have had much better results with other Nippon Kodo products.
