Great incense holder!

The cube sits ery nicely in the middle of a pottery bowl. Because the incense is straight up, the ashes fall into the bowl. The cube also cleans easily.

nice substantial weight, minimalistic look

I have purchased a few brass incense holders not too long ago: cherry blossom, snowflake and a cube, and i love them all. Nice weight for such a small item. It pairs wonderfully with Hana-no-hana sticks. Great little treasure, executed with attention to detail. This little brass burners are "a jewelry" for your sticks, adding that "special touch" to ritual of incense burning.

Wild Life Collection

These pieces were made by imaging "Wildlife human figures" drawn by anthropomorphizing animals such as rabbits, frogs and monkeys. It is a technique that is used for modern manga books but is also taken from Choju-giga, "the oldest manga in Japan" where animals such as rabbits, frogs, monkeys, etc. are drawn as personified reflecting the society at the time.
